A Beauty Pilgrimage (Part I)

This past Saturday, Hannah and I met up in the city for a bit of brunching and beauty shopping. We started out in the West Village at Les Deux Gamins where I had a Croque Madame (my favorite). Then we headed a few blocks down to The Bathroom. I’ve had my eye on this store for a while, and was not disappointed when I stepped inside. They stock all of the best bath and body products, including Gianna Rose Atelier, Claus Porto, Mor, Lollia
and Olivina Napa Valley.
I ended up purchasing not a bath product but a beauty product. Talika lash extender consists of microfibers that you brush on to create an extra quarter inch of lashes. I’m giving this to a friend of mine who has been pondering $300 lash extensions for a while now. The lash extender sounds a little bit too good to be true, but I’ll have her fill us in on her results later.
I refrained from purchasing anything for myself because, like I’d said, I REALLY don’t need any more bath products. Although I was seriously eyeing the stock of Mustela products. I’ve been fixated on baby products these days. And why wouldn’t I be? Since they’re intended for the delicate skin of infants, the formulations are probably super gentle and the scents heavenly and light. It doesn’t sound like you can go wrong. Maybe once I run out of my current shampoo, I’ll try the Mustela 2 in 1 Hair and Body Wash. (Would make a great travel item. Less to pack. Just be sure to stow it in your suitcase, not your carry-on!)
Part II of this past weekend’s beauty pilgrimage to come. Stay tuned…

[…] Johnson’s Baby Head-to-Toe Baby Wash (hidden in back) - Recently purchased this, as I have a baby product fetish (not to be confused with a baby fetish). I like the convenience factor of it, since you can use it as both a body wash AND a shampoo. And as a shampoo, it works surprisingly well. There really isn’t any scent to speak of, but it does the trick and it’s gentle on my skin. […]
