Review: Origins Shedonism Shave Mousse
A couple weeks ago, I had the pleasure of meeting the PR rep at Origins at the Coutorture/Pierce Mattie Roundtable. The week after, I got hooked up with some bath goodies to try out, one of them being the Origins Shedonism Sensuous Shave Mousse.
I actually spent a while trying to figure out what Shedonism is. I looked it up in the dictionary and quickly determined it’s not a real word. The Origins website referenced something about a “society of she.”
Finally, duh, it dawned on me they were making a play on “she” and “hedonism.” Cute, but I was kind of hoping it was something more hip hop like “Shedo [woman] nism.” (Yes I actually toyed with that option briefly. Until I realized that it did not fit the Origins brand image.)
So the shave cream comes in a jar as opposed to the typical squirt can, which just purrs luxury baby. The mousse had the same rich, thick texture as cold cream, with a hint of shimmer in it. My legs came out the other end feeling moisturized, smooth and nick-free.
The scent - a blend of Tahitian Tiare, jasmine, mandarin, bergamot and basil - brought to mind a sunny, tropical paradise and clear blue ocean…which is exactly where yours truly is not right now.

I’ve never heard of shave cream…but i agree that a product in a jar over a bottle is much more luxurious.

[…] It was only recently that I had this enlightened moment where I realized that there were many, many more shaving options available to me than just Skintimate or Gilette. It started with the Origins shave mousse. And now I have another one: Whish Pomegranate Shave Crave. […]
