New Fall Look for Eyes
Ever since Beauty Addict wrote about this new fall runway look for eyes, I’ve been obsessed with trying it out.
Basically, what you do is line your top lid with black liquid liner and your bottom lid with a thin line of bright color which is then smudged into the lashline. So far I have succeeded in making myself look like a 30-Seconds-To-Mars-era Jared Leto, but maybe some of you more makeup savvy can pull off the look better than I can.
Nonetheless, I will continue to persevere until I can get it to work. And by the way, for those of you curious, I played with both Tarte eyeliner in Blue Nude and MAC eye shadow in Tilt on my bottom lid.
What’s your take on the look? Hot or not?

I’ve been wanting to try this too! I’m thinking I’ll try green at first because it’s more neutral for my brown eyes…. Post a picture of how yours turned out!

Let us know how the green turns out for you! I actually already wiped mine off because it looked so bad, but I’ll be sure to take a picture in round two of Christina vs. The Big Bad Makeup Trend.

I’ve sort of dabbled with this trend. Using bright colors tends to make me look like a cheap hooker, where as i’ll try to use bolder colors that are more shimmery. Like a metallic moss gross, or a metallic bronze.

LOL - interesting. So basically go from a matte bright to a metallic/shimmery bright? I personally prefer some shimmer as well, otherwise, I just look like someone punched me in the face. But also, I think light-reflecting pigment tends to make the eyes pop more.

I love this look. I’m addicted to dark, smokey eyes - but i think the color underneath is a great way just to add a little brightness!!!

Hehe - I’m glad my makeup ineptitude is giving someone some joy.
Karina - I bet you pull off the smokey eye really well since you have such nice, large eyes. Can you give us some tips? Or maybe it’s just not a look meant for people with smaller eyes.

Lol - I just put black liner right on my lower lash line (i know its bad for you) and I actually drew a thick line of black with a pencil along my top last line and about 2mm thick (to get a look as if i’ve used a liquid liner)!!!
And loads of DiorShow mascara. hehe
