Review: Dr. R.A. Eckstein’s Azulen Paste
Alright ladies (and gents), it’s time to beat those pimples…or at least put up one hell of a fight. I’ve been using Dr. R.A. Eckstein’s Azulen Paste for the past
three years ever since my facialist recommended it to me, and I can say that it’s one of the most effective treatments that I’ve used for controlling breakouts.
It’s a green paste that my husband thinks smells like death warmed over, but I think it smells fine. And I would probably continue to think it smelled fine even if it smelled like rotten sheep carcass, as long as it got the job done.
I use the ointment as a spot treatment at night before bed, and within a day or two, I can see a huge improvement. The cream contains Zinc Oxide, Azulene, Chamomile Oil, Vitamins B1 + B2 + B6 and Vitamin A + E.
I wouldn’t recommend using this during the day because the cream is green after all, and you don’t want to walk around looking like a swamp monster.

Do you find it to be drying at all?

Not at all. I only use it as a spot treatment though. Back when my acne was more severe, I used to apply a thin layer all over my face at night, and it had a nice mattifying effect, but it definitely wasn’t drying.

[…] So the breakouts that I had this past weekend have started to heal and subside thanks to my Azulen Paste. Can I also say that Bobbi Brown Blemish Cover Stick is a lifesaver? […]

Azulen Paste don’t dry the skin but let the pimple subside. If U hv acne or breakout, massage Krauter Supreme and Azulen Milcheiweiss, follow by Azulen Paste, really good. U should ask for sample pack to try.
