Review: Margarita Bloom Pinktini Bubble Bath Soak

margarita bloomIf you want a good bubble bath with lots of suds, then you need to try Margarita Bloom’s Pinktini Bubble Bath Soak from the Hollywood Glam collection.

The packaging is adorable, and inside is a pouch of pink powder that you add to your bath. The best touch was the dried rose petals mixed into the soak, which just goes to show that it’s all in the details.

By the way, a pinktini, in this case, is a lightly fragranced raspberry and lime cocktail.

Since I have sensitive skin, I’ve trained myself to examine product ingredients, and now I tend to do it compulsively. Interestingly, this soak is made up of milk powder, cornstarch, baking soda, Caribbean sea salts, glitter (didn’t see that one coming), sunflower seed oil and lime oil among other things. The good news is that there were very few wacky chemical ingredients to worry me reaction-wise.

However, now I know why my skin felt chalky after the bath - probably the cornstarch and baking soda. I had to take a quick shower afterwards to wash off the residue, but it was still totally worth the soak. I hadn’t felt that relaxed in such a long time (insert blissful sigh).

Thats the one bad thing about bath bombs and the like - they leave your skiny feeling chalky!!!

But I’ll have to say that this bubble bath soak is preferable to bath bombs because of the bubbles which make the entire experience more fun.
