Deal Alert: Spa Week
This is for us, frazzled East Coasters and Midwesterners. Spa Week is about to start: October 16-22. Spa treatments at participating locations are only $50. Treatments that are normally $100 to $200 for only $50!
On the New York list I noticed the Fresh spa and Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spas, not to mention our friends Dorit Baxter Day Spa who also run their own very excellent blog. I suggest you sign up and book your appointments pronto because I’m sure the spots will fill up quickly!
Participating locations are: Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Miami, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Philadelphia and Washington D.C. There was a West Coast leg, but that passed already. It’s an annual event though, so you can mark your calendars for next year. (Sorry, I know that must be very little consolation. You can get me in a dark alley later.)

Actually though, I just calculated it for myself, and it doesn’t end up being a great deal for me. $50 plus $20 train fare to get into New York plus $4 subway pass plus tip, and I might as well stay in Connecticut and go to one of the local spas here (which are just as excellent thanks to the trophy wives who keep the spa industry healthy and booming).
