You’re probably wondering what in the world were they thinking? You’ll probably think that even more when I tell you that San Francisco-based elizabethW also has a Tomato soap, a Parsley soap and a Lime soap (not as weird) in their Butterfly Collection - Scents from the Garden.
Would you believe me if I told you that the Asparagus soap is actually one of the best soaps I’ve used? It’s triple milled, plant based and packed with moisturizing shea butter. The lather is minimal, but so creamy and pure luxe. The soap just slides from the bar onto your skin.
And the scent? For me, it actually went from weird to not bad to pretty nice. In fact, it doesn’t smell so much like asparagus as it does a light floral with a bit of bite.
Just watch out when you leave the soap exposed to too much steam or water in the shower. The outer layer tends to turn into mush. If you can keep it in as dry a spot in the bathroom as possible, you should be fine.
elizabethW also sells home products like drawer liners, candles, room sprays and lingerie bags - all scented of course. Apparently Oprah is a big fan of the drawer liners. You can guess that they’re now one of the company’s best-selling home accessory products!
With the holidays right around the corner, I would keep this company at the top of your gift-giving list. Their products are very classy, much in the vein of Jo Malone, but with a fraction of the price tag.
