Holiday Gift Guide: Bath and Body Edition
Have you started thinking Christmas yet? I know I have. The holidays always tend to sneak up on me, but this year I refuse to be caught offguard. You hear me?! Refuse!
So I’ve already started making my Christmas gifts this year: handmade soap via the cold process method. It’s been a bit nerve-wracking, but a lot of fun. I’ve had to start early because it takes about four weeks for the soap to cure.
But in case I’m caught out in the cold on this one (and I’m definitely not ruling that out, as I’ve found that soapmaking is quite a bit more complicated than I realized), here are my gift guide suggestions dedicated to you, me and all those well-intentioned, bungled DIY projects!
This is the Best of Bliss set, and it contains their most popular products in one adorable little set. Included, you’ll find their high intensity hand cream, lemon and sage soapy sap, lemon and sage body scrub, vanilla and bergamot shower gel, vanilla and bergamot body butter and herban jungle exfoliating soap. Retails for $45 at Blissworld.com.
If you’re in the dark, Sabon NYC is a fantastic bath and body line, and this has got to be the epitome of foot pampering. Their Ultimate Foot Spa Gift Package comes with a tingling foot cream for soothing and relaxing, and a body butter bar for moisturizing. It also contains their amber loofah soap which I’ve tried and reviewed here. Retails for $37 at Sabonnyc.com.
Can you believe I’ve never tried Philosophy yet? I know, this piece of information is probably enough to banish me into the beauty hall of shame. But I’ve heard nothing but good things about this brand, and I just love the idea of their Deck the Halls gift set being good enough to eat. Includes a powdered sugar cookie shower gel, cinnamon buns body souffle, and kiss me red lip balm. Retails for $35 at Drugstore.com.
Molton Brown originated from London and makes high-end luxury beauty products. This set caught my eye because of the beautiful container. Features hand wash, hand lotion and room spray scented with the warm fragrance of Moroccan granati pomegranate and other essential oils. Retails for $65 at Moltonbrown.co.uk/us.
Hope these suggestions are helpful as you begin your holiday shopping. Do you have any other bath and body gift sets that you would recommend?

At the rate I’m going, I think that I will be buying more for me than for anyone on my Christmas list. The “Deck the Halls” collection sounds especially decadent. It just had to be the cinnamon buns body souffle that grabbed my attention!
On the other hand, maybe I will just buy one of each and give them to my daughter over the coming year. That way I get to try each of them out!

I was skeptical about Philosophy at first since it’s shampoo in soap in one, but i loved the bottles and smells so I bought one and it worked pretty well on my hair and body. I use it for traveling.

Hi SP and Tara! Welcome.
I love the idea of all-in-one because of the streamlining aspect. I use the Johnson & Johnson Head-to-Toe Baby Wash, and bring it to the gym with me. Mustela also has a similar version that is on my Christmas wish list. Hint hint. Hello, Santa…anyone??
