Review: Biggs & Featherbelle

Biggs & Featherbelle is a boutique company that sells handmade, natural bath and body products. It was started by two sisters, one of which has a background in fashion design, the other in web/graphic design. Which would explain the absolutely adorable packaging.

I’m a sucker for great packaging. You could be selling me vomit in a jar, and I’d probably buy it if the jar was pretty enough. I will tell you, though, that there’s no disappointment to be had inside a package of Biggs & Featherbelle.

biggs & featherbelle body butter barI had a chance to try their body butter bar, which is basically a lotion in solid form. It’s quite ingenius - a block of cocoa butter, coconut oil and sweet almond oil that is rubbed directly onto the skin, and melts with your body temperature.

Again, this is the lazy girl’s way of moisturizing her body. Just one glide along the skin and you’re done. It left my skin moisturized and so soft, and wasn’t overly greasy.

This bar is also great, I’ve discovered, for your feet. I like moisturizing my feet, but I don’t like touching them. (One of my weird quirks.) This solves that problem. A 2.5oz bar retails for $8.49.

biggs & featherbelle soapI also tried the Chai Latte soap by Biggs & Featherbelle, which is a limited edition soap right in time for the holidays.

How’s this for interesting? This bar is made up of black tea, with sweet nutmeg and spicy black pepper essential oils. It also contains goat’s milk and honey for hydrating and soothing.

It lathered beautifully in the shower, and did not leave my skin dry afterwards. Gotta be thankful for small mercies like that. A 3.5oz bar retails for $4.49.

Biggs & Featherbelle also offer lip balms and bath soaks, as well as a belly balm to help prevent stretch marks. You listening all you pregnant ladies out there?
