What’s In Her Shower: The Makeup Bag

Thanks for reading so far in the series. Today we’re investigating Erika’s beauty stash over at The Makeup Bag. And oh what a stash it is. I think I was in shock for a good five minutes when I saw her pictures. Now I know why she has a beauty blog. It all makes sense.

For this one, I’m going to sit back and let Erika do the narrating. I’ve put in links for you to find out more about pricing, etc. (to try to keep the post as streamlined as possible). Enjoy, my dear readers!

In my shower I currently have Frederic Fekkai Full Volume Shampoo and Conditioner, L’Occitane Amande Shower Oil, MD Skincare All-In-One Cleansing Foam, Olay Total Effects Anti-Blemish Daily Cleanser, Cosmedicine Medi-morphosis Self-Adjusting Exfoliator, Bliss High Thighs Slimmer Scrub that I use on my feet because it does NOTHING for my thighs (they’re beyond hope at this point, I think!), and my handy little Tweezerman Pedro Callus Stone.

My favorite bath oil is Jo Malone Honeysuckle and Jasmine, but I also use Jo Malone French Lime Blossom and L’Occitane Amande Shower Oil. I put bath oil in my tub water and directly on my skin afterward, for the softest skin ever. (Makes for a kind of greasy bathrobe, but whatever!)

In no particular order, the products currently in my skincare drawer are: Stila Petal Infusions Eye Makeup Dissolver, Estee Lauder Idealist Micro-D, Sephora Express Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover with Vitamin E, MAC Pro Eye Makeup Remover, Philosophy A Pigment of Your Imagination, Biore Pore Minimizing Refining Exfoliator, Sisley Phyto Blanc Face Buff & Wash, Sisley Sisleya Eye and Lip Contour Cream, La Roche-Posay Efflacar K, La Mer The Cleansing Lotion, MD Skincare Alpha Beta Daily Face Peel, Sisley Clearing Essence, Clinique Deep Cleansing Emergency Mask, Kiehl’s Lip Balm #1, La Mer The Tonic, Neutrogena Visibly Firm Night Cream and Laura Mercier Eyedration Firming Eye Cream, and Origins Youthtopia.

Maybe it’s because we live in the desert, but our house is never without bottles and bottles of lotion and body cream. A family favorite is Baby Magic by Playtex. It has changed hands several times (it was originally by Mennan), and several years ago changed formulas to remove the pink dye. (My sister and I literally cried when they did this. We went around to all the stores and bought out what they had left on the shelves because the new white formula is only a faint resemblance of the goodness that once was the original). Now they’re freaking me out even further because the bottles have changed to white, but our house wouldn’t be “home” without Baby Magic.

I’m constantly trying new lotions and body creams so they are all over my house. Again, in no particular order, here’s what I’ve been using lately: Nivea Silky Shimmer Lotion, Bath & Body Works Healing Body Butters, Laura Mercier Eau de Lune Luxurious Body Cream, L’Occitane Ultra Rich Body Cream, Jo Malone Honeysuckle Jasmine Body Lotion, Philosophy Amazing Grace Perfumed Firming Body Emulsion, Jergens Natural Glow Daily Moisturizer (my daughters use this more than I do), Sally Hansen Smoothing Foot Scrub, Banana Republic Shimmer Lotion (they don’t even sell this anymore unfortunately), Bath & Body Works Aromatherapy Lavender Vanilla Hand Cream, Jo Malone French Lime Blossom Body Creme, L’Occitane Shea Butter Foot Cream and Vie Luxe Palm Beach Body Cream.

Phew! There you have it. What the beauty bloggers are using and enjoying in their showers and baths.

Thanks to all of the bloggers who participated, and thanks to you, readers, for, well, reading!
