Carol’s Daughter is Cool
Carol’s Daughter sort of snuck up on me from behind. All I knew about it before I was sent samples was that Brad Pitt loves it - which I guess is pretty good PR in and of itself.
So I received a sample of the Lemon Ginger Mint Manicure in a Jar to test out. I was intrigued by the concept. Anything “in a jar” is fantastic as far as I’m concerned. It’s that idea that craziness can be compartmentalized and made easy and/or manageable. Gotta love that, especially with the hectic lives that I’m sure many of us live.
So you use this stuff as a quick pick-me-up. Take a dollop and massage it on your hands and rinse. After you wash away the sea salt, you’re left with a moisturizing layer of oils and butters on your skin. It was a tad heavy for my tastes, but I imagine you would be in heaven if you had very dry skin.
However, what makes this stuff worth its weight in gold is the amazing scent. I’ll admit, I felt a bit ambivalent about it in the beginning, but the more I sniff at it, the more I fall absolutely and madly in love with it.
Oh, and another highlight? The lemon essential oil leaves your skin cool, tingling and feeling oh-so-fresh afterwards.
A 2oz jar retails for $10.

With all the flu bugs going around, all I seem to be doing lately is washing my hands and they are drying out big time. So, your “manicure in a jar” sounds pretty promising and if it smells as delicious as it sounds, even better!

I absolutely love Carol’s Daughter - I have tried many of her products and have been in love with them all. She has the best smelling bath oils/salts around and wonderful moisturizing products for your hair. And the body scents are to die for - in fact, I’m wearing Carol’s Daugher Jamaican Punch Body Butter right now! I encourage you to try some of her other products.

I need to find a new Sephora. I want to try some of these products, TRY being the key word here since they are a little pricey. But everything I ask for a sample of either “they don’t give samples of it” or they are out of jars for samples:(
