Bath & Body Works: Take Me Away!

Hey y’all, sorry about yesterday - I guess my site was down. But have no fear. The kid is back!

ile de tahitiSo I recently had the chance to try out the new Ile de Tahiti line by Bath & Body Works. These products were formulated based on the centuries-old beauty secrets of the women of Tahiti, and consist of three scents: Coconut Vanille, Tiare Flower and Fei Banana.

I don’t know about you, but I’ve been dreaming about the Bahamas and bikinis lately, especially given this cold, sloppy weather in the Northeast. And the Ile de Tahiti line definitely takes me there with its lovely tropical scents.

My favorite from the line is the Hua’i Coconut Scrub which is an exfoliator and body wash packed in one. The product contains coconut pulp and vanilla beans for polishing, and tamanu oil and Monoi oil for moisturizing. And the scent is so amazing it transports me instantly to balmy locales. A 6.7oz jar retails for $18.50.

Bath & Body, in their infinite wisdom, has discontinued this wonderful product. The only place I can locate it is on eBay, and the prices are terribly inflated. Does anyone have a clue where to locate this product line? It must be exclusively “Bath & Body.” Yikes. =:-p

Gasp! Are you serious? I’ve already used mine up, and was considering purchasing another jar. This is a sad, sad day…
