After a month of grody nails, I finally treated myself to a pedicure on Friday.

Want to know what that shade is? It’s Daytripper by Lippmann Collection. The publicist for Lippmann was the one to tip me off to this gorgeous color. When I saw it in the bottle, though, I was afraid it’d be a little too neon. I’m usually an Essie Ballet Slippers fan, so this was definitely a departure for me. But I love it!
Corals, reds and brights are where it’s at for summer, so don’t be afraid to slap a little Daytripper onto your tootsies. A bottle is $15 a pop (not cheap, in my book), but it’s worth it as the color is vibrant, and has remained chip-free so far.
What shade are you wearing this season?

I am LOVING that Lipmann colour and will definitely be looking to grab a bottle! This summer my signature pedicure colour is Koala Bear-y by OPI from their Australia collection. Love! On my fingers I’m rocking Guchi Muchi Puchi by Essie although I find the texture of their nail polish to be gummy and the brush not-so-great after using the wide OPI ones…

Revlon Glimmer Gloss in Strawberry Sizzle. I always wear the more intense colour on my toes - they’re far away so the colour won’t sear out the eyes of others.

I got Tangerine by Essie which is a fruit punchy red/orange. I was feeling bold so I got it on my fingers which I was nervous about but hey, it’s summer! Be bright!

My fav. pedi color is Fiji by Essie, it makes my feet looks tanner but it is more high maintance than say Sugar Daddy by Essie.
I have a question and have been searching for an answer high and low… Do you know any perfume or body care line that makes deodorant? I’m getting sick of the drug store brands and the scent always conflicts with my perfume. If you do know any, please let me know!

Jordyn - I’ve been dying to try an orange-y shade. I’m going to check out Tangerine. It’s definitely a good step outside my comfort zone, but I think it’s time to push myself!

I got really into the whole trend of the really super dark nail polish. OPI Lincoln Park caught my attention and I wore it on my finger and toe nails. Can somebody please tell me how cool or un cool it is to be wearing such a dark shade in the summer. I like bright sometimes, but I’m into this whole dark shade kick. Nail Polish trends are so bizarre, anybody agree?

[…] My toes are in terrible shape (I’m embarrassed to admit that I’m still sporting the same pedicure from an earlier - way earlier - post). But my fingernails are looking fantastic. I did them myself, and I must say, I am quite impressed with my own technical abilities. […]
