This Blog Should Be Called Boots in the Bath
We’ve been living in our house for three months now, and can you believe this past Sunday night was the first time I’ve ever taken a bath in the house?
Part of it’s been the fact that it took us nearly two months to re-grout the tile. Another part of it’s been the summer heat — dunking my body into hot water is not usually my idea of fun when simply standing outdoors makes my pores open up and start crying.
However, feeling like I needed a little R&R, I filled up the tub and poured some Boots Mediterranean Bergamot, Orange and Olive Bath Cream under the running water. And ah, what a lovely experience it was. The scent was fruity, light and delicious, the bubbles abundant and long-lasting.
In my eyes, this bath was Boots redeeming itself after a nasty experience with their body scrub. (Weird, waxy residue. ‘Nough said, I hope.)
So the bath was drawn. Next step was to soak and enjoy a bowl of Green & Black’s Organic Chocolate Ice Cream (it was on sale for $3.99 at the supermarket, so I decided to splurge). I even had the latest issue of Glamour and the really entertaining Marley and Me on hand for some restroom reading. But I was enjoying my Boots bath way too much. So instead, I just hunkered down, closed my eyes and listened to the late evening noises playing on outside my little window.
