Talk About An Extreme Makeover
This is our dog, Oscar, three months ago, when we first picked him up from the animal shelter:

And look at him now.

I’m always asking him, “Hey mister, where did you get your good looks from?”
But he has yet to spill his beauty secrets.
EDIT: Read all about his adventures at his new blog: The Amazing Adventures of Oscarman!

He is so cute! Even in the before shot but still amazing what a nice hair cut will do for you. Congrats on your newest member of the family.

You did a good thing here. The first picture, a down-on-his-luck mutt. The second, a happy and loved mutt with a good family.
I want a dog sooooo much. And yes, I would get mine from the shelter.

He’s such a cute and good dog, we can’t figure out why anyone would leave him at a shelter!

awww.. he’s such a handsome boy~! is he a shih tzu mix? I just got a shih tzu puppy too, she’s brown and white. The cutest thing in the world. I’ve always thought I’d get my dog from a shelter too, because there is no need to encourage all the puppy mills out there. But I eventually caved in when I saw my Daisy. It was love at first sight. And yes, grooming is the one single most important process in making a dog looks good, on top of love and nutrition. I’m sure it’s your unconditional love that makes Mr.Oscar look so gorgeous!

oh my god. he’s adorable! ADORABLE! i got a shelter dog in january, and she has definitely improved over time, both with her behavior and her looks (she’s a cockapoo). good for you for rescuing a dog. it’s one of the best things a person can do for the world.
