Zum Bar Goats Milk Soap

zum barAs a hobbyist soap maker, I have a gajillion bars of soap in my house. So of course I do the natural thing and go out and buy another bar.

Well, in my defense, I wanted to try a goats milk soap to see what the difference is between that and water based soap.

This was a very wonderful, emollient bar of soap. Tons of creamy lather, brilliant on the skin. I’m sure some of it had to do with the goats milk, and some of it with the castor oil (a number of soapers swear by castor oil).

I love how Zum bars are scented with essential oils. I typically use fragrance oils in my soap, but lately I’ve been convinced of the integrity of essential oils — I love the natural earthiness. Not everyone’s cup of tea, but slowly becoming mine.

I LOVE this soap. Indigo Wild has some really neat products, but the almond soap is my favorite. Pricey? Oh yes. But for any saponinophile (lover of soap? I made it up), it is a must try.

    Hi,

Lately I’ve been kind of obsessed with everything goat milk (really: cheese, milk, yogurt, body cream)…so obviously, I will love to try this soap, I checked the flavours and my favorites were Almond and Tea-tree Citrus.

    Thanks for the tip!

Hi Irazema - I was torn between the Lemongrass bar and the Almond bar at the store. I ultimately went with the Lemongrass one, but the Almond bar smelled amazing. I figured I should branch out since I have so many other Almond scented products (see my Perlier post today)…hehehe.
